StartLogic Company Information

StartLogic began providing quality hosting services in November of 2003. Based out of Pheonix Arizona, they offer a full range of hosting services including domain name registration, shared windows and unix/linux based hosting plans, virtual dedicated server plans and dedicated servers. They are listed as being a Better Business Bureau member since July of 2004.

StartLogic Data Center and Facilities

The StartLogic data center is located in Los Angeles, CA. The custom designed facility provides redundant optical fiber connections through Cox, Qwest, and ELI, in addition to multiple Internet back-bone providers, including UUNET, Broadwing, and Global Crossing, making scaling bandwidth faster and much more affordable.

In addition, the world-class data center is custom designed with raised floors, HVAC temperature control systems, redundant power, UPS back-up and power conditioning systems and generators. 24/7 physical security is provided; including state-of-the-art smoke detection and fire suppression systems, motion sensors, biometric access controls, as well as video surveillance and security breach alarms.

StartLogic offers 24/7 356 day live phone/ticket/chat technical and customer support. The live chat feature can be handy for quick questions. Sales and billing run 7 days a week also but not 24hrs.

A decent hosting company all around. Their servers are pretty quick on the virtual dedicated accounts anyway. Support is good for shared accounts but seems to be slow on actual setup issues with virtual dedicated accounts. Have tried dedicated yet.

All in all...out of the many web hosting providers I've dealt with StartLogic ranks among the top. If they ever do improve their support it will move them to number one with me.
