Vacation Fever for Freelance Geeks

A couple months back we actually drove the 900 miles from where I live to southern California. More specifically, we checked into a motel right across from Disney Land theme park in Anaheim. For that week I basically forgot everything. I didn’t even check email. Most other internet professionals would understand how truly impossible that is. The truth is it was actually quite nice.

In between riding Space Mountain and the Thunder Mountain Railroad I actually managed to space any thought of work. I came back motivated for early retirement. It really is easy to get sidetracked however and I soon found myself sleeping in past 8 and totally unmotivated.

I’ve seen the light though. I’m ready to work for that next much needed vacation. Shouldn’t even really be that hard. I have a 3.5 inch ceramic Stitch on my desk to remind me of my goals. Not a simple vacation, that is, but a pseudo permanent one. When my resolve starts to waver I just head on over to Google Video and watch videos of all of the rides.
